For the final session of our After the Pandemic series, educational strategists Valerie Whitehead and Dan Challener will focus on secondary education. How did our schools manage during the pandemic? Did distance learning really work? What will the future hold? Will ‘screens’ become a permanent part of the way we teach students?
Valerie Whitehead has been with the Glynn County Schools for 33 years. She is responsible for special education, student services, strategic planning and, this year, the system’s COVID-19 response.
Dan Challener has been the President of the Public Education Foundation (PEF) since 1999. PEF works with the Chattanooga public schools to support innovative programs such as increasing college-going rate, preparing the next generation of school principals, and developing digital fabrication labs. Dan is a graduate of Princeton and Brown universities.
